Dubai’s University CUD Partners with Binance
Dubai’s Canadian University of Dubai has partnered with the world’s leading crypto platform, Binance, to enable students to pay their fees in digital currencies. The payment technology Binance Pay supports over 70 cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC) and Ripple(XRP).
Binance Receives Crypto License from Regulators
In September last year, Binance received a cryptocurrency license from Dubai’s regulators. This move allowed them to dive deeper into the local ecosystem. With this collaboration between CUD and Bianance, current and future students at the university can settle their tuition fees using digital assets instead of fiat currencies.
The Canadian University of Dubai
The Canadian University of Dubai was established in 2006 offering an education system based on the curriculum employed in Canada. It has approximately 1,200 students enrolled across four faculties: Architecture and Interior Design; Communications; Business Administration; and Engineering & Technology.
Crypto Payments for Education Fees
Students can now pay their expenses for tuition fees with various forms of cryptocurrencies available through Binance Pay. This includes both stablecoins such as USDT & USDC as well as other popular cryptos like BTC & ETH.
This partnership between CUD & Biance shows that there is growing acceptance of digital payments among educational institutions across the globe. As more universities come onboard with similar initiatives, it will become easier for people to use crypto assets for making payments towards education expenses in the future.
